GTA 6's second trailer shows off more of the game set in a modern Vice City but also announces a later release date.

Grand Theft Auto VI is finally showing more of its cards. The second big trailer, released on May 6, 2025, drops us into a modern Vice City inside the wider state of Leonida, where partners-in-crime Lucia and Jason juggle love, loyalty, and a whole lot of felony.

If you've been obsessively scrolling for GTA 6 news, you have plenty to chew on and a delay to grumble about. Rockstar has locked in a launch date of November 19, 2026 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, with more screenshots and character teases piling up on the official site.

Partners in neon crime

Trailer 2 leans hard into Lucia and Jason as a criminal couple. We see her trying to rebuild after a stint behind bars, him chasing a quieter life, and both getting dragged into a conspiracy that stretches from city streets to back-road swamps.

The world around them looks like Florida after six espresso shots. Vice City's beachfront high-rises glow over crowded highways, while the wider Leonida map flashes swampy airboat runs, Keys-style islands, and small towns built on bad choices and worse alibis. Shots are crammed with tiny details, from roadside workers to chaotic wildlife.

Rockstar's camera also hints at how you'll spend your off-hours: basketball courts, jet skis carving waves, packed nightclubs, street races, even a bit of influencer clout-chasing through in-game social feeds. None of it is confirmed as missions yet, but the montage sells a world built to distract you from the main story.

Slow bake for something big

Of course, all that spectacle is slated to arrive six months later than players expected. The release was first nudged from a 2025 window to May 26, 2026, and has since been pushed again to November 19, 2026 for extra polish. Think of it as a pizza that needs a little longer in the oven.

Between the latest delay and launch, expect months of frame-by-frame trailer breakdowns, rumor sifting, and official GTA 6 updates trickling out slowly. If the finished game delivers on what these trailers promise, a dense Leonida and a messy, human crime story at its center, the extra wait may sting, but it will not matter the second you steal your first car.
