GTA 6 trailer omitted from The Game Awards: Here's what we know

Are you still hoping the GTA 6 trailer will be unveiled at The Game Awards? Well, we hate to break it to you, but it probably won't happen. Fans have been hoping Rockstar will surprise us with a new trailer, but with the game's release still over a year away, don't hold your breath just yet.

Rockstar has always played things a little differently when it comes to game reveals. Unlike other big names that roll out trailers at major events, Rockstar prefers doing things its own way. Remember the first GTA 6 trailer? It wasn't shown at any glitzy game awards but was quietly dropped online in December. Same story with the second trailer in May, it appeared well before Summer Game Fest. If you're expecting the third one at The Game Awards, don't get too excited.

Rockstar knows how to keep us on our toes. While other studios are busy throwing trailers at us like confetti, Rockstar's over here playing the long game. The GTA 6 trailer was just a tease, and with the game now set for November 2026, don't expect that new GTA trailer to drop until Rockstar's good and ready, probably when we least expect it, like that surprise plot twist in your favorite movie.
